good songs for baby lullaby?

January 31st, 2010

*mommy in june* asked:

What are some good songs with lyrics that can be used as lullabies for babies? I am planning on making a CD before my little one is here, and was looking for more ideas. I’m interested in soft, sweet songs, with lyrics so I can sing along.. I really love country, but other genres would work too.

One that I do have in mine is “Baby of Mine” by Alison Krauss, a song from the movie Dumbo. I absolutely love it… looking for more kind of like that. Thanks so much!

Jewel has a cd out called “lullabies”. You could probably pull it up on iTunes, Rhapsody or YouTube to find some good songs.

If you like Alison Krauss’ “Baby Mine”, you should just get the Disney Lullaby cd.

I’ve put both cds on my registry. :)
