Mister Big asked:
I have recently discovered the Bluegrass genre and particularly like Josh Turner, Alison Krauss and some tracks by Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Alecia Nugent and The Grascals. I would appreciate suggestions in a similar vein to increase my repertoire.

I discovered most of the above artists through the Yahoo Bluegrass radio station. I would also like to have the URLs of others.

Please give a listen to Blue Highway, Mountain Heart, Jeff White, and the Lonesome River Band. Ronnie Bowman is great too. For me, the best bluegrass female (in my opionion) vocalist is Claire Lynch, she is a delight to listen to. For a more traditional sound you can try the Nashville Bluegrass Band, Dale Ann Bradley, The McCourey’s, Cardinals, etc., – I’m sure you’ll enjoy all.

Steve Earle made quite possibly one of the best Bluegrass albums in the last few years, it was entitled “The Mountain” I will send you a link, download or buy any of the tracks from here and you will not be dissapointed.
